What‘s a Sound Bath?
No, you won’t need a towel…
If you've ever heard the term "sound bath" and pictured yourself soaking in a tub filled with music, you're not alone. And while we love a good bubble bath, a sound bath doesn't require water, towels, or even getting wet. (Unless you count the occasional tear of release. Been there.)
So, what is a sound bath?
A sound bath is a meditative experience where you're literally bathed in soothing sound waves. Using instruments like crystal singing bowls, chimes, gongs, and other vibrational tools, we create an immersive sonic journey that helps quiet the mind and relax the body.
You don't have to do anything but show up, lie down, and let the sounds wash over you.
What Happens During a Sound Bath?
When you arrive, you'll find a cozy spot on your mat with a blanket, bolster, or pillow to support your comfort. Once you're settled, we usually guide you through a short grounding meditation before beginning the sound bath.
As the sounds unfold, your brain moves into slower, more relaxed frequencies (hello, theta and delta waves), which can support stress relief, emotional release, better sleep, and even spiritual insight.
Everyone's experience is different. Some people feel deeply rested, while others have vivid visual experiences. Generally, most feel a lot lighter afterward.
